| What is Don’t Eat Me? Who are the artists? | Don’t Eat Me is an artist collective made up of four artists: Derptiles, Karepango, Art by Julia, and Notebeans Stationery. The character-based storefront aims to be a specialty retail store of artist-made goods and events to bring community together. |

| Is this a partnership with MOMENT, SJMade, or the City of Mountain View? | Yes! This is a program powered by MOMENT, SJMade, and the City of Mountainview aiming to activate vacant spaces across Castro. In partnership with the city of Mountain view, we’re so happy to have transformed this once vacant space into a creative retail storefront! |
| What does “Don’t Eat Me” mean? | “Don’t Eat Me” is a really silly, playful name we came up with when the 4 artists were coming up with the store’s collective brand. All four artists happened to have one member that was Taiwanese culturally, and felt connected to the nonsensical cuteness that a lot of Taiwanese characters have. Don’t Eat Me! (yes with an exclamation mark) felt right on the dot of that silliness. We wanted to bring a character driven brand with this cuteness to the Bay Area. |
| How long is this store around? | This is a 1 year pop up that will be around until December 1st, 2026. But! We might have a chance to stay longer and extend our contract if the city can see people love what we have to offer. Leaving a review could really support our store! |
